You Can Choose Love

The creative potential of this level of awareness is that every emotion you feel contributes to the energetic outcome of your future. It always has, and it always will. In each moment, you can either choose fear, or you can choose love, and it’s in this distinction that your intuition is birthed. There is a slow and steady infusion of fear into society that has gradually disconnected many of us from our natural and innate levels of intuition. Ongoing exposure to fear can dull our sparkle just a little more each and every day, and we don’t remember our capacity to rise above it. Many people don’t even realize that it’s happening. I’m defining infusion of fear here as a repeated, internalized emotional response to information placed into social media platforms, media outlets, ads, and news agencies that more often than not seeds the energy of concern. Simply put, the more you spend time worrying about the future, or being targeted to not feel very good about yourself, the more you distance yourself from your intuitive gifts. If you’re online in any way, it’s safe to assume you’re in somewhat of an information bubble. For what reason, I’m not sure we’ll ever know. I’ve witnessed dozens of people who believe in light and love that will swiftly block, unfriend, cancel, or unfollow if you hold a difference of opinion. This is something known as spiritual bypassing that can tamper with your intuition like learning to run before you can crawl.

Don't Force That Smile

The problem with only believing what is in your bubble is that many people will believe everything they read and will respond without doing their due diligence to verify sources, going straight to the source, or understanding that the information can be spun and skewed with specific agendas to create division or to profit from fear. We become biased to the information bubbles we tune in to on a regular basis. However, intuition works differently, and there’s a way to splinter yourself out of the information superhighway of agendas to seek clarity and empower your psychic centers instead of getting overwhelmed if you are willing to take an unbiased look. This, in turn, helps to clear a path for greater levels of intuition. How can I raise my vibration and steady my energy to stay informed but detached? Is it possible that this is not true? How can I remain as loving as possible and honor the belief systems of others? Fear as an energetic force will warp your perception of reality like standing in a house of mirrors. However, intuition is the difference between thinking you know and knowing you know. It’s being aware of the fear and the love and the power each perspective holds to create the future. This level of discernment can only be present when you are able to stand aside from what you think is right or wrong or what your ego wants to assume. We’re all born with intuitive gifts, such as being empathetic or having vivid dreams or hunches as to how a particular situation will unfold. One of the most powerful and important intuitive gifts is listening. It’s very underrated and underutilized to the extent that we don’t pause to listen to the information from within our hearts first before we stamp it as truth. Depending on what kind of a family you were raised in, your inherent natural ability to listen to your heart or listen to others could have been either enthusiastically encouraged or intentionally ignored.

Be Good To Yourself

The truth is that you can never be unplugged completely from infinite wisdom and from the magic of the Universe, but you can choose to turn your back on your gifts if you forget your power and listen too much to the mainstream narrative of noise. Take regular breaks from social media and news feeds. Set limits on your screen time that allow space to recenter yourself. Spend quality time in nature, and breathe deeply. Keep a journal of your gut instincts and hunches. Remember to believe in your own magical powers of intuition. In fact, the medical texts of ancient Egypt contain spells as well as what one today would consider practical measures in treating illness, disease, and injury. Another example is how Indigenous cultures all over the world have intuition deeply ingrained and embedded into their lineage and ancestral story lines. The wisdom is passed down from generation to generation to preserve the beautiful knowledge. Many of them were found guilty and were burned at the stake simply for exhibiting intuitive wisdom or knowledge about how to heal ailments with various types of flora and fauna. My mother was extremely superstitious when I was growing up. To this day, I will not walk under a ladder.

All Above Board

I also held the fear and the belief that if you break a mirror, you’ll get seven years of bad luck. Omens and superstitions also have been responsible for some ridiculous reactions and causations to situations in the name of preserving good luck. For instance, my daughter Ava Moon was born with a tooth. I saw three doctors in Las Vegas that all told me it was a cyst and it was probably nothing to be concerned about. However, I insisted that it was a tooth. It was growing just below the surface of her gums at the bottom of her mouth. I could run my finger over it and feel the tiny ridges. Apparently, only one in three thousand children are born with a tooth or a whole set of teeth. In various cultures, this can be perceived as either a lucky omen or a bad one. It can be a sign that the child will become a vampire or a witch, or even that the child must be removed from the community because it brings bad luck and misfortune to a village. And in Malaysian culture, a child born with a tooth is favored because it will welcome in the energy of prosperity.
